The Yard of Ale Pop-Up Pub
At the Open Days in February 2020, a pub was one of the things many people asked to see at St Francis Fields.
While it’s unlikely ever to be possible to have a full-time pub on the site, we have been running a very popular pop-up pub called The Yard of Ale since 2021. It opens outdoors on several weekends every summer at the courtyard Hub on the site, and in the winter The Yard of Ale opens in the village hall.

Dates for this years pop up pub at the Oast on St Francis Fields are below:

May 23 - 26 (includes bank holiday)
June 13 -15
July 18 - 20
August 1 -3 and
August 22-25 (includes bank holiday)​

Opening times are 5 - 9pm each day

By all accounts, it’s been a huge success! It is managed and run by volunteers from St Francis Fields Community Interest Company, makes a modest profit and, just as importantly, lots of people have told us how lovely it is to be able to have the opportunity to chat to friends and neighbours over a pint (local beer and cider, of course) or a glass of wine in the centre of the village.
