A permissive footpath was opened in August 2021, and runs through St Francis Fields. There are two entrances – the Orchard Gate on Main Street (up by the doctors’ surgery car park) and the Beales Lane Gate.

The route is clearly signposted and you can go straight across the site or follow a circular route. Whichever you choose, it’s a really lovely walk with some fantastic views! Dogs are welcome but MUST be kept on a lead at all times, and please clear up after your dog. (Please note that you cannot access the footpath via the St Francis Fields gate next to the Muddy Duck.)
